Taneatua Gallery

Welcome to #Taneatua the gateway to #TeUrewera with its many tributaries located within the tribal region of the #Tūhoe people. Our eponymous ancestor Taneatua was the older brother to Toroa who arrived on the #Mataatua waka. Taneatua is most noted for his travel exploits with his dogs across the Te Urewera #landscape. The #TaneatuaGallery (‘the Gallery’) was established and is the result of a dream and a strong desire to support #artists and the people of Tūhoe within the #community.
