Landscope Designlab actively engages with stakeholders and issues of value across society and industry.
In Designlab we use design as a key tool to identify opportunities and concepts, as well as commercially relevant intellectual value.
Our work draws on published research from a range of disciplines, and is underpinned by scenario development, critique, and theoretical frameworks related to design, landscape and interaction. We use a design experimentation approach to our research, in which collaboration and multidisciplinary studies are encouraged.
We have an active group of industry, government and community partners, and our findings are embodied in research publications, industry reports, and the design of products, services, sites and landscapes.
Current research includes landscape memory and identity, strategies around environmental impacts and innovation, and design for conservation.
