Jacinta has been passionate about health & wellbeing from a young age. She started practicing yoga in her early teenage years through her mum, an experienced yoga teacher herself. Her interest in health resulted in a Bachelor and Master in Health Sciences in Amsterdam. In the meantime she came across The Journey, a healing method developed by Brandon Bays. She was astonished by this powerful and effective, yet simple process to get rid of emotional, mental and physical unhealthy luggage or basically clutter of any kind. Since she was a little child, Jacinta had longed to live from her heart, but not knowing how to do that. The Journey answered her prayers and she is now an accredited Journey Practitioner.

In between her travels to Africa, doing voluntary work and internships, she met the love of her life, a kiwi block with Dutch roots. In 2011, she moved from The Netherlands to New Zealand to join her kiwi partner and she hasn’t looked back. Her love for yoga became vibrantly alive while living in Auckland and she decided to deepen her yoga knowledge and gain her teaching certificate through the Byron Yoga Centre. She realized this was just the start of a life long journey and she continues to study and deepen her self-awareness. Einstein has put it beautifully: “The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.” Yoga is a wonderful way to honor our sacred gift and calm our mind and connect with other people on a deeper level.

In Jacinta’s classes you can expect to be challenged, to have fun, to relax, to dance, to build up strength and connect with your inner self. She is in love with Vinyasa flow, but not afraid to incorporate other styles in her classes and own practice. Her aim is to create a loving and nourishing atmosphere where students feel welcome and are encouraged to be exactly how they are. “I feel honored to be able to share my passion for yoga.

Next to yoga classes, Jacinta also enjoys sharing her love for meditation through classes, courses and/or workshops. As an accredited Journey Practitioner, she is keen to guide you through a Journey Process. During this effective, inspirational and powerful one on one process you will peel down emotional layers and use your own inner wisdom to uncover unhealthy (cel)memories, beliefs or attitudes.
