The Work Ready NZ service is designed to help you brush up on your employment skills. This includes:

There is more to CV and letter writing than just putting words on a page – both of these documents are often the first impression an employer has of you. You need to make it count so that your application goes in the ‘To be Interviewed’ pile.

INTERVIEW TRAINING
We don’t always see ourselves as others see us. Work Ready NZ can help you make a good first impression by providing support and practice until you feel confident that the job you are applying for will be offered to you.

NETWORKING
As you know, not all job vacancies are advertised in newspapers or on websites. It is often who you know or who others know that will open up a chance for you to find employment. Work Ready NZ can show you, step by step, how to make the most of networking opportunities so you go straight to the top of the list of potential employers.

EMPLOYER EXPECTATIONS
Do you really know what an employer expects from you? Work Ready NZ has in-depth knowledge of what an employer wants and can guide and support you through meeting those expectations.

WORK TRIAL OPPORTUNITIES
The team at Work Ready NZ have extensive contacts and networks throughout Northland and are continuing to add more businesses. After discussing with you the areas of employment that are of interest, our consultants will set to work finding an opportunity for you to participate in a Work Trial. That first step gives you the chance to prove yourself and often leads to a job offer.
