WineWorks Marlborough Wine Race

On November 6, 29 keelboats from boat clubs around New Zealand will race from Waikawa Marina in Marlborough to Wellington in celebration of the new release Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014.

Each yacht will be carrying a case of 2014 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc across the Strait to Wellington - first case their is named the supreme winner!

This year for the first time Wine Marlborough has organised a post-race event.
The event, to be held at Martin Bosley's restaurant on the Wellington waterfront, is an opportunity for fans of Marlborough sauvignon blanc to be among the first in the world to taste the newly released sauvignon blancs. The wines will be matched with beautiful canapes, prepared by Martin Bosley's chefs using the finest fresh produce from Marlborough.
