Whareama Coastal Walk

The Whareama Coastal Walk is a fantastic 2 or 3 night, fully catered walking adventure over private farmland and isolated Wairarapa coastline. Starting at Whareama, situated near the stunning East Coast beach resorts of Castlepoint and Riversdale, come and join like-minded people on this challenging, truly rural and coastal experience!

It doesn't matter if you are a couple, in a group, or a lone 'tramper', you can join our walk. We walk every day during the season with a minimum of 4 walkers and a maximum of 16. You complete a loop over the two days, so no bumping into other walkers. Following well marked farm tracks, lane-ways or fencelines, walking at your own comfortable pace with a map and written directions (there's also a marker every 200m.... so you won't get lost!).

You stay in clean comfortable accommodation during your walk. The first is the Ica Station Homestead or cottages in the grounds. The second being the Wai Ngaio Retreat, a newly refurbished ex hunting and fishing lodge with coastal views and a 50 inch TV...... what a treat! Delicious healthy, hearty meals await you at each of your accommodations.
