Waitaki Aquatic Centre

Waitaki Aquatic Centre is a Waitaki District Council owned and operated swimming facility. It features a 25m training pool, spa pool and a junior pool.
We offer a range of swim programmes and activities as well as providing casual pool access for recreational swimming.

Aqua jogging
Exercise in deep water using aqua jogging belts, Suitable for all – you don’t even need to be able to swim!!
The belt keeps you afloat while you enjoy the benefits of all over toning exercises.
Belts are available at no extra charge.

Aquarobics Fitness & Fun
Aerobic exercises to up-beat music! A Great workout in the main pool shallow end. Improve overall fitness, tone muscles and improve general well-being.

Fun over 50`s
Classes running on Monday, Wednesday & Fridays 9.00am – 9.45am
Emphasis is on giving it a go! You don’t have to do the whole class – just do what you can! Wear what you feel comfortable in – t shirts are fine.

Sports Clubs
Explore the opportunity to vary your training. We can provide regular sessions with aquarobics instructors, or you may prefer a 1-off training session. Use your own fitness trainer if you wish.
