Vining Marine - The Wellington Brokerage

Hi everyone, I'm a a relatively new import to NZ having arrived from the UK in 2012. A retired British Army Officer I graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 1995 and left the services in 2011 following a number of Operational tours, marriage, the arrival of three sons and, not least a Golden retriever. Now living in Wellington, I am the 'Capital' based broker for Vinings.

My boating career started in the military and then expanded into the civilian and commercial world. I love (most) things boating, but it’s fair to say I'm a petrol head at heart. I'm also an Advanced Powerboat Skipper & Trainer with a love of instructing and passing on knowledge and experience to others.

During 2008/9 I was sponsored by Suzuki and appointed a Raymarine ambassador racing in the UIM Offshore Powerboat series which included events such as the grueling 2008 Round Britain, and historic Cowes - Torquey powerboat races. In 2009 I and my fellow crew also successfully broke the world record for the fastest circumnavigation of Ireland in a powerboat. Unfortunately it has now been broken!!

Having now slowed down a little, I'm looking forward to meeting lots of new people and helping them achieve their aims and goals, (even if that is below 70 Knots)!
