To be one mind and one body, When I first tried to digest these words, and had the priveledge eight years ago to see, for myself, from one of the greatest horseman in the world Buck Brannaman. The unity between Him and a horse Buck had just meet, from the moment Buck was handed his lead. I can't actually put into words how I felt. Relieved, inspired, amazed, excited. I had been searching for a better way all my life, I could ride, grown up around horses all my life, But you just got on and rode, with not much consideration or thought for the horse, don't get me wrong I'v always loved horses, But we blamed the horse iff it bolted or bucked or bit us, or reared over backwards or pulled away, or didn't want to pick up it's feet or go in the float, or spooked!!!! you get my drift. But in reality he was just protecting himself, horses arn't milicouse they don't think like humans. I want to respect my horses thoughts and feelings. We are the teachers and have to cope with different things as they come up. It can be done. The way to do it is to work on yourself, to recognize and understand the situation. This goal is very real and rewarding. each step along the way it's own reward.
