The Old Courthouse

These days the Old Courthouse is a B&B and rented to holidaymakers, but it was previously the local courthouse, and it's thought that it was built just after the fire that destroyed the entire town in 1918. It was located in central Raetihi until 1984, when it was moved to a hillside in a quiet, leafy street on the outskirts of the village. Another storey was added in, keeping with the style of the original building.
