The Flying Fox, Whanganui River, New Zealand

We offer camping, glamping and cottage accommodation in a unique setting on the banks of the Whanganui River surrounded by the National Park. There is no road access to the site and we do not have cell phone reception or television, therefore it is an ideal place to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
Our business and property is run using eco-friendly principles of organics and permaculture. We are 'off grid' for everything except electricity, however our cottages and glamping tents are comfortably furnished and equipped with everything you will need for your stay including books, music, linen and tea/coffee making supplies.
All our accommodation options are fully equipped for you to self cater however catering is available on request when booking.
Lunch is also available for day visitors for parties of 4 or more by prior arrangement.
