Te Henga Studios

Te Henga Studios Eco-Arts Retreat, on the banks of the Waitakere River, overlooking Matuku Forest & Bird Sanctuary, 30mins from Auckland's CBD & 4mins drive from beautiful Bethells Beach. Our main building was designed by sustainable architect Graham North and is powered by solar energy, with solar hot water for summer and a Pyroclassic woodburner & wetback for winter.
As well as welcoming tourists and visitors to the region, Te Henga Studios can be booked for day, weekend or week long retreats for groups or individuals.
Founded on the principles of permaculture, creativity and wellbeing, we seek to create a space for both relaxation and inspiration.
For creatives, we have studios to suit all arts, performance, film, writing & photography projects, with various catered or self-catering accommodation options.
For those wanting to unwind and regenerate, we have a yurt yoga studio as well as massage & hydrotherapy facilities on site.
