St James Mountain Sports

Providing competitors with the chance to compete in some of New Zealands most epic high country landscapes on the iconic St James Station, Hanmer Springs.

The "James" Mountainsports series offers competitors with a choice of Mountainbiking, Mountain running or multisport - you will find your challenge in the following events;
The Ground Effect "James" MTB Classic with two options - The 100 km "James" Epic or The 65 km "James" Pony Express.
The EM's Power Cookies "James" Stampede Ultra mountainrun - a full 50 km mountain run. Or the 20km Homestead half high country run.
The "James" Macpac Mountainman - a hardcore offroad Ironman type event, starting with a 2km swim or 10 km kayak - 100 km MTB stage followed up with a 50 km high country run.
The "James" Alpine Adventure race - a shorter Half Ironman Xterra race - 1.5 km swim or 7 km kayak (or both), 65 km MTB and 17 km cross country run
