Sri Lankan Dance Academy

The Sri Lankan Dance Academy is a voluntary organization dedicated to preserving ancient traditional dance forms, and nurturing the modern dancing arts, of Sri Lanka. Our driving ambitions are to share Sri Lanka’s rich dance culture with the New Zealand public and to foster an interest in Sri Lankan dance for our children growing up in New Zealand.

SLDA is established to offer Sri Lankan children growing up in New Zealand, the chance to learn and experience their culture & heritage and to to provide an opportunity for the wellingtonions to experience rich and colourful Sri Lankan culture.

Purpose of SLDA FaceBook page is to
1) create awareness of SLDA among a wider audience
2) connect with students, parents, SLDA committee, past students, etc
3) Share success stories, photos and videos of SLDA events.
