Get smart and get ahead with ALEC this year and improve your digital literacy skills. Digital literacy includes the literacy and numeracy that you need to use computers and the internet. These are skills that all New Zealanders – young and all – need to master to live and work in the 21st century.

• The International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL) – an intermediate level computer training programme that covers the basics of computing and informational technology including Microsoft Office applications like word processing, spreadsheets, and more.
• e-Citizen – a introductory programme covering the basics of computers and the internet especially for those with no, or very limited, computer knowledge.
• Work-focused intensive and embedded literacy and numeracy (LN) assistance and training including help with CVs, job interviews, customer service, and retail.
• Education and training informed by current research in literacy, numeracy, and applied language studies.
