Scott Macdonald - Bayleys Waikato

Born and bred in the small Bay of Plenty town of Te Whaiti, Scott grew up on his family’s 1200ha intensive dry stock property. He has lived and breathed farming his entire life.

Head prefect in his final year at Rotorua Boys' High School, Scott went on to study at Lincoln University on a Canterbury rugby scholarship. He graduated with a Diploma in Farm Management and has spent 10 years managing his family’s very diverse and intensive farming operations.

Enterprising by nature, Scott and his wife Vanessa ran the successful tourism business, Jailhouse Farmstay & Shuttles. Developing the business from scratch afforded Scott valuable insight into effective marketing approaches with positive results. He approaches real estate with the same zeal, applying his business acumen and in-depth knowledge of the rural sector to achieve optimum outcomes for his clients.

The father of two young sons is an advocate of campaigning to get the best the results. He's aligned himself with Bayleys as he avidly believes the brand is an exceptional one with a huge marketing presence and appeal. Scott revels in the excitement, and loves the cut-and-thrust of transacting mutually satisfying deals. He brings to the formidable Mike Fraser-Jones team the enthusiasm of youth tempered with a lifetime of rural experience, innovation and capacity for hard work.
