Porirua Living Without Violence

Porirua Living Without Violence Inc has been providing programmes in Porirua since it was established in 1995. We have always been a strong member of the social service sector in Porirua and are represented in most networks and have always enjoyed strong community support for our services.

Since October 2013, Porirua Living Without Violence has also been providing Men’s programmes in Upper Hutt and Lower Hutt Cities.

Our Members:

Porirua Living Without Violence Management Committee operates as a collective using collectivism principles.

Our organisation members are:

• the Whare Manaaki Inc (Porirua Women's Refuge) Collective (Management Committee)
• Te Whare Tiaki Wahine Refuge Collective (Management Committee)
Whilst all members of each governance Board are members of PLWV Management Committee normally only two of their chosen representatives attend PLWV management meetings.

Information is disseminated both ways through these representatives to their individual organisations.
