Paritutu Centennial Park includes 89 acres of reserve. The park includes a carpark and is popular for picnics. Paritutu rock dominates the park at 153m the top of which was flattened and used by local Maori prior to European settlement as a food storage area. In present times the top of Paritutu marks a geodetic survey spot.
