Orange Energy Source Technologies Ltd. is a national high-tech company in technical cooperation with New Zealand, Australian, South Korean, Germany and Chinese companies that focus on researching and producing environmental energy-saving heat pump and solar electric units, mainly for agricultural (dairy industry), hotels, schools, offices, factories, hospitals and family homes.

Orange, is introducing to the New Zealand market the benefits of saving energy by using a combination of solar electric power and heat transfer technology.

Solar electric panels generate electricity during the day which is used to drive the hot water heat pump and heat water and heat the home. Any surplus power can be sold back to grid for which the customer receives a credit. (Depending on electricity retailer)

Hot water heat transfer technology has been slow to develop ion New Zealand mainly due to our cooler climate and high humidity. With new refrigerants and new technology the problem has been solved.

For those parts of New Zealand where temperatures are below freezing for extended periods, new breakthrough technology has heat pumps to operate efficiently at -25 ℃ low temperature zone and moreover, made it practical to use the air source, water source or ground source heat pump.
