Northland Canoe Club

Northland Canoe Club holds regular paddles on the Whangarei Harbour and around Northland’s beautiful coastline. The most regular paddle is held on Wednesday evening, leaving form the public boat ramp next to the Onerahi Yacht Club.

Another paddle is usually organised further a field at least once a month and other trips are arranged among club members. Members’ interests include sea, surf, river and white water paddling.

The club encourages paddling as a family recreation and many trips are organised with beginners in mind. Skills training videos are available and occasionally skills training sessions are held.

Kayaks are available for hire by members at very reasonable rates.

Meetings are held monthly and all members are welcome to attend.

You are most welcome to join in club paddles to meet other members and see if the Club suits you. However, please be aware that our rules state that after three club outings you are expected to join the Club if you want to be involved any further.
