Creative Industries programmes at NMIT have developed out of the experience of commitment over many years to craft, art and design education. Our professional teaching team ensures students receive the highest quality tuition.

Programmes cater for a wide level of interest and differenct levels of experience. Students can pick and mix from a wide range of courses depending on their interests indluding Visual Arts and Design, Creative Writing, Music and Graphic and Multimedia.

The new Creative Industries building located on Nile Street, Nelson, is a world first in wood building innovation which vastly enhances the students' learning experience. It is equipped with up to date digital gear necessary for contemporary arts and media practices including music editing and composition, video, graphic design, image manipulation, publication design and production, animation, internet design and more. Students are taught in a variety of workshops with a range of technical equipment and specialist facilities for handling different processes and materials such as textiles, woods, metals, plastics, ceramics, glass, paper, printmaking of various sorts, painting and drawing.
