Ngamihi Luxury Lodge and Bed & Breakfast

Ngamihi Lodge opened in January 2016 after a huge renovation to make what was previously a family home into a luxury lodge. We are 15 minutes from Rotorua by car and 20 minutes from the airport. A complimentary pickup service is available from the airport if required.

Ngamihi Lodge is beautifully appointed lodge with all day sun and amazing 360 degree views over the lake. It is beautifully decorated by its designer owner, Leigh Caughey, and is private with outdoor areas to relax and unwind.

Your host & owner Leigh Caughey, has lived at Lake Okareka for over 22 years with her family and loves and knows the area well. She has a background in Interior Design and had her own company in Auckland for over 15 years.

Leigh has two adorable apricot toy poodles called Toby and Ted. They are very friendly dogs that can be kept in the owner's apartment if you don't like dogs.

Amenities: Include BBQ, Wi-Fi, Sky TV, Iron, Hair Dryer, Laundry Facilities, beautiful bedrooms and bathroom with all linen supplied.

The Rooms: There are three 2 bedroom suites. Each suite has its own stunning bathroom. The Kingfisher, Tui and Fantail suites are named after New Zealand native birds. Please go to our booking page on Airbnb for further details and to book the suite of your choice.
