Nadir Outpost

Nadir Outpost is the southernmost accommodation on the South Island of New Zealand. We provide accommodation ranging from bed & breakfast, tent /powered van sites and a self contained unit. Numbers of guests are small ensuring a cosy comfortable stay. We also have the "Little Shoppe" providing basics supplies,crafts and information. We are situated at Slope Point, the Southern most point of the South Island.

Catlins Life
We are in a very unique area Nadir Outpost is on 4 acres. We have gardens, trees, beautiful native birds & a meandering stream. We use the ocean as a source of both pleasure & food. There are safe areas for fishing, gathering shellfish, swimming and boating. Whether you choose to walk along a beach or explore a forest, every day there is a new & exciting experience waiting. Wildlife abounds in this special area.

Nadir Outpost -What the name means...
Nadir- is the opposite to the zenith. The zenith is the highest point, Nadir is the lowest point. Slope Point is the Southern most or lowest point in the South Island New Zealand.
Outpost- is a station at a distance from the main centre. Our main shopping centre is in Invercargill

Chalet
The chalet is a three bedroom unit with own kitchen/dining/ bathroom. It has a double and two single bedrooms. Also has a sofa bed in the living area.
Annex
A pleasant one bedroom suite. Separate lounge with sofa bed and private bathroom. The bedroom has a queen size bed. Shared kitchen and BBQ facilities are available.
Cabins
You are able to rest in our cosy, clean, well catered environment - Basic cooking facilities and utensils provided.
