Matamata Playcentre

Matamata Playcentre offers quality early childhood education and is a fabulous place for your child to learn, explore, create, have fun, develop new skills, and build relationships by interacting with other children and adults.

The playcentre philosophy is based on child-initated play and recognises the parents as the first and best educators of their own children. Playcentre families receive a unique early childhood experience with opportunities for whanau/families to learn together.

We hold five morning sessions a week which are overseen by our wonderful supervisor Taryn, and run by our parents/caregivers for the good of the children to create for them a safe and positive environment to learn in.

16 areas of play are set up or available throughout each session and include playdough, arts and crafts, collages, painting, baking, storytime, puzzles, dress-ups, role playing, swings, sandpit, confidence course, waterplay etc.

We love going on trips out in the community and examples of past trips are: Marshall Animal Park, Matamata Police and Fire Stations, Leap trampoline park, Cambridge bike track – the fun never stops!

All visitors are welcome to come along for three free visits to see what we are all about before deciding to enrol at our centre. If you and your child(ren) would like to become part of our Playcentre whanau give us a call for more information.
