Manukau Youth Jazz Orchestra

A new 2016 stage band with the usual line up of 5 saxes, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones and a rhythm section. The band rehearses every Monday 8pm-9pm at Waimahia Intermediate straight after the MYSB rehearsal. The vision is for this band is to combine on special occasions with top level string players from the Manukau Youth Orchestra to perform the lush studio orchestra arrangements of days gone by (think Nelson Riddle, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald).
