Lakefly Woodware & NZ Souvenirs

It all started way back in 1971 with a bit of wood a fretsaw & a lot of enthusiasm it quickly became a hobby that kinda snowballed .I have now been a fulltime craftsman/woodworker for over 35 years first selling from home & to shops thruout NZ & last 10 years supplying a souvenir wholesaler.And 2.5 years ago I also started being a regular stall holder at Lincoln Market as I thought it was time I slowed down a bit & started acting like a respectable retired gent who doesnt do it for the money !!! [what b/s !!!!] Lincoln is a good little market just 12 mins from home its friendly & Lincoln is a vibrant multi cultural little town thanks in part to Lincoln Uni . My latest move is having a facebook business page , I find understanding the Facebook business page quite a challenge there is a lot to learn - but I also like slowly getting to understand it . Over the years I have made many different things - toys, puzzles, trays, stools, picture frames, bird tables & bird feeders to name a few but I always gravitated towards kitcheny & food stuff utensils, spoons servers tongs pate sets & chopping board etc.. And Ive always been keen on souvenirs & make a range of them. I use only demolition wood - but I dont trade on that fact - its just common sense really] Theres no shortage of wood around esp for me not needing large pieces . I like the natives esp rimu, kauri, some matai beech & rewarewa. Rewarerwa is a favorite of mine [& many people love it to because of its distnictive grain]..
So llttle did i know when I picked up that fretsaw & bit of wood all those years ago the journey it would take me on.
