La Petite Maison de la Mer

When you're ready, wander out to the kitchen and make a cuppa. While the jug boils, open the drapes and be amazed at the spectacular views over the glistening Hauraki Gulf - see how many boats (motor or sail) you can spot. Then, enjoy your cuppa while sitting outside - if you're lucky the quail will be frolicking beside you on the patio!

If you're feeling more adventurous though, there are plenty of options available! Start by taking a stroll through the cool bush down to the lovely little Otuturu Creek. If you feel like going a little further, why not walk down to the Ruamahunga Bay beach. If that's not enough, the beaches at Waiomu and Tapu are only a couple of minutes drive away. While there, why not pop into the wonderful Waiomu cafe, or Tapu's Royal Oak Tavern.
Of course with boat-parking on site and a boat ramp at the bottom of the road, you may wish to spend the day fishing - there are plenty of snapper if you know the secret spots!
