Great way to ruin a family day out

If you want to wreck a great family day out at the beach , pay a visit to Hotties cafe at Hot Water Beach. Here you will find the most expensive hot chips anywhere in New Zealand. A half scope or as I was informed by the very very rude own is 320grms will set you back $6. To top it off not only did they loose our order then promise to bring it outside where we were sitting, instead they left the New Zealand most expensive chips sitting inside going cold.

The owners justification for the meanest serving size of chips... "We use expensive oil not lard"... Statement of fact 95% of cafes and fish n chip sgips in New Zealand use oil.

Assuming they arr buying there raw ingredients from a wholesale they are making about $90 on every 5kg bag of frozen chips.


There are other cafes in the area, don't let this one ruin a great day out.
