Hire 2 U

Hire 2 U is a family orientated business located in Stratford, Taranaki. Hire 2 U is a division of our main business Rigs’n Things Ltd of which our main focus is on custom coach building and truck sales. We are Taranaki’s only NZTA approved manufacturing certifiers.

Here at Hire 2 U we offer a “we hire – you drive” service where you can hire a truck off us and drive it yourself. All we need is your licence and a few basic details but remember to book in advance so you don’t miss out. Our prices are very competitive and we offer a 24 hour hire service. This means you can pick up the truck at 6pm the night before you need it and return it at 6pm the next day.

We service all areas including Stratford, New Plymouth, Hawera, Inglewood, Opunake and all the in betweens throughout Taranaki.

We provide late model trucks compatible with class one (car) and class two (truck) licences.

Our trucks are fitted with ferry tie downs which allow inter-island travel allowing transportation all over New Zealand as required.

Our rental fleet is widely ranged and consists of commercial and private trucks and trailers.

These include box bodies, some with tail lifts, tippers of all sizes up to 5000kg payload, crew cab flat decks and tippers, crane truck and cable decoiling trailers.

Our prices are very competitive and our 24 hour hire starts at 6pm and finishes at 6pm the following day.

We offer monthly hire rates for commercial rental and we also have other competitive packages available to suit your needs.
