The approach to Health and Safety needed a shake up, so in 2007 two guys from the construction industry took it on.

Gavin Karl and Mark Potter get their hands dirty – and they’re our two directors. Gavin has 25 years experience in residential construction, from bricky to developer. Mark put in 16 years in commercial construction working on some of New Zealand’s biggest building projects. They know what a building site looks like and they know how important health and safety is.

With HazardCo we’ve created a system that gives business owners what they want: a simple, practical way to effectively deal with health and safety on their worksite. Something that helps address the legislative and regulatory requirements – that doesn’t look like a mass of complicated paper work.

In 2013 HazardCo added solutions for the Agriculture and Horticulture Industry and Manufacturing Businesses. Both of these initiatives have been an outstanding success with key players in both sectors now using the HazardCo solution and membership numbers catching up to construction. In 2015 we expanded our system to office and retail based businesses.

We have a 38 strong nationwide team supporting businesses with all the H&S resources they will need. It’s straight-talking, straight forward health and safety.
