Whether you are planning a civil union, wedding, renewal of vows or honeymoon abroad, the team of wedding designers at G&Y will ensure every detail is taken care of. You may wish to have an intimate ceremony for two or an elaborate celebration shared with hundreds of friends and family; either way we have the expertise, creativity and relationships with the best in our industry to bring your dreams to life. G&Y offers you as much or little help as you need in designing, creating and delivering everything you dream of to make your perfect day. This can be an initial creative design session to help you on your way and link you up with suppliers that fit your needs right through to organising every detail of the ceremony, parties before and honeymoon after. In simple terms we’re your new best friend you just haven’t met yet!

We love finding stunning locations around our beautiful country of New Zealand to host your ceremony – on an island beach, overlooking a reflective lake, inside a rustic building on a high country station, on top of a mountain or glacier, in a garden amongst your favourite flowers, between the vines in a vineyard or in a unique building.

Hello! My name is Melissa Haberfield and I warmly welcome you to G&Y. My team and I love everything about weddings and can’t wait to share your journey with you! We’re real people who you’ll get to know really well as we help you design your dream wedding or celebration.

So you know a little about me…My career has spanned luxury hotels, international tourism companies, cruise ships and running my own recruitment agency and event management companies. I’ve travelled to 126 countries including extensively around New Zealand and love sharing my beautiful home country with visitors from around the world. My passion for designing and hosting unforgettable events and weddings has led me to create G&Y.

With my team of designers and wedding planners based all over the world and around New Zealand we utilise the latest technology and social media to communicate with each other and our wedding couples. No longer is physical distance a challenge to chat regularly. In fact by the time you meet us in person you’ll feel like we’re already close friends!
