I am a woodturner who likes to use NZ native timbers to create individual pieces endeavouring to enhance each piece of timbers' natural features.
My main source of raw timber is from the swamp kauri found in Northland NZ.
Many of the logs have lain buried for 1000s of years.
Each piece is finished with a french polish which is both durable and food safe.
