Nestled under the iconic Cape Campbell Lighthouse , lies accomodation in our cosy cottages , a sheltered haven beneath the unique white cliffs and rolling tussock hill country of Clifford Bay. Relax on the verandah of the cottage - the site of the filing of “The Light Between Oceans” - and watch the endless sunsets and changing of the tides.

Experience Cape Campbell offers exclusive stays in the original lighthouse keepers huts, that have been renovated over the years in typical kiwiana style. Its an ideal place to escape the busy outside world , and relax .

The complex consists of four buildings , The cottage, The cow shed, The singlemans and the weather office. All buildings have power and water. The cottage and singlemans are equiped with self contained kitchen and bathroom , whilst the cow shed and weather office offer beds . Sleeping a total of twelve people , we can cater to most families or group stays .

Horse-trekking weather permitting. BYO horses, gear and food carted to lighthouse. Hay available for purchase.

Several day-walking and mountain biking tracks are available and start from the lighthouse.

We provide: Coffee,tea and sugar, hand towels and tea towels, toilet paper, duvets, heaters, and pillow slips.

What to bring: Food, sleeping bag, camera and your sturdy walking shoes/Mountain bike/horse!
