In 1810, the Peugeot brothers transformed the mill they had inherited from their miller ancestors to steel production.

Since then, rolled steel has been at the heart of Peugeot's activities. Saw blades and tools led to pepper mills and coffee grinders, along with a wide range of manufactured items from metal petticoat frames to sewing machines, sheep shearers, to penny farthings and finally cars.

Continental Cars have been the Auckland Central dealer for Peugeot since early 1993. With the brand expanding so rapidly, we moved to a purpose build factory approved facility in April 2006 located in Greenlane.

This design is called a "Blue Box” due to the look and colour of the tiles used to clad the building. The Blue Box concept is a corporate identity programme that is being implemented internationally by Automobiles Peugeot to make Peugeot dealerships instantly recongnisable.

With this investment in the brand we now have the largest Blue Box in the southern hemisphere, we are a stand alone dealership that have a dedicated sales and service team.

The Peugeot brand celebrated its 200 year anniversary in 2010 with a new look Lion and a fresh vision for future models. Peugeot has been for sometime the leading manufacture of low emission vehicles, they continue to push the automobile industry in new directions as they did many decades ago with the world’s first electric car, and again in the 21st century with the release of hybrid technology.
