Central Hawke’s Bay runs from Pukehou and Otane in the north to Takapau in the south, and is bounded on its west side by the Ruahine Ranges and the Pacific coast to the east. It offers plenty of options for getting off the beaten track to explore the area in your own time, with walking, cycling and back country fishing just some of the possibilities.
