More about Blossom Baby Massage

Watch your baby blossom as you interact with massage, rhymes and gentle stretches. Find out all the details and next course dates at www.blossombabymassage.co.nz or email contact@blossombabymassage.co.nz.

Blossom Baby Massage six-week courses take place in a friendly relaxed group environment for babies up to one-year old. Baby massage is great way to bond with your baby and a lovely way to meet other parents in your area.

We welcome crying babies! It’s what they do… Blossom Baby classes are relaxed and your baby’s needs come first during the class – and if that’s crying, feeding, sleeping or anything in between that’s fine!

At Blossom Baby Massage you will learn from accredited infant massage instructor Kate Doran, following the International Association for Infant Massage (IAIM ) method. This incorporates Swedish and Indian massage, along with reflexology and gentle stretches.

What will I learn?
The course is delivered in six sessions, allowing you to practice and repeat the strokes so you’ll remember them easily – at the end you’ll be able to offer your baby a whole-body massage, along with some yoga-inspired stretches and rhymes as well.

Only you or your partner will massage your baby during the sessions, as Kate uses a life-size doll to show you the massage strokes and gentle stretches.

You’ll also learn about all the wonderful
benefits of baby massage, such as how it enhances bonding between the baby and parents – and both partners are always welcome to attend. You’ll also find out some fun and practical ways to keep using massage as your baby grows into a toddler and child.

The sessions will last for about an hour with a little extra time for morning tea and discussion with other parents – with refreshments provided.
