Art School Taupo

What Are We?
ART School Taupo is a place where fun happens! We let loose, experiment, learn new skills, create masterpieces, a few screwed up frustrations and lots of happy accidents all in the name of art.
We do this by providing art tuition in the form of short workshops, monthly courses and regular classes. Our fantastic tutors are all practicing artists and very passionate about what they do. Many of whom are even award winning in their field.
Every year we also hold a very special and FUN two day art convention made up of 15 mini art workshops! This attracts people from all over the north island. We also recently started up a bodyart and spfx club called Reconstruct and as you can imagine, strange and crazy things happen there!

Where Are We?
ART School is lucky enough to not have a fixed address, instead all our workshops and courses are held in various studios and venues throughout the Taupo and wider communities. This enables us to find a venue that will best suit each workshop. We can even come to YOUR house for a special workshop tailored for you and your friends.

Who Are We?
ART School is owned and operated Miranda Jeffries, who has worked all her life in some form of a crazy artistic venture. Whether it is photographing a model in crazy coloured wigs and big shoes, to art therapy classes or co-ordinating an adults art group to applying injury simulation make up for civil defense, she'll be there in the thick of it, developing ways to share each adventure and twist it into a series of workshops for others to experience too.

All of our tutors are independent contractors and practicing artists in their own field of creativeness! Which means they bring a whole new set of expertise and passion to their classes.
