0 Degrees Ice is the brainchild of Whitianga local Dave Munday.

Dave was born and raised in Auckland and moved to Whitianga with his wife, Sanoma 7 years ago. Last year they decided to sell their lifestyle block on the 309 Road to buy a small place in town, and focus their efforts on setting up the business.

Dave has been a diver since the age of 10, and still gets wet at least once a week if possible. He also loves his fishing, and has always appreciated the need for a good salt ice product to keep his catch in the best possible condition.

To produce our premium ice product is a 10 ton per day Snowkey salt ice flack machine, with two large, German made Blitzercompressors . A professionally custom built storage ice box, along with a structurally engineered steel framed tower to provide easy deployment of the salt ice.

We look forward to supplying the best salt ice in the Coromandel to the Commercial Fisherman and to the Recreational Hunter and Gatherers. We are also happy to supply locals needing salt ice to keep beverages & food cool.
