Nestled in the Kaikoura ranges with some stunning mountain views our course will take you over four hill country properties offering a variation in terrain from open farmland, tussock country, manuka & native bush.
For those new to this sport rogaining is a cross-country navigational endurance event, on foot. Before the start, teams of 2-5 are each given a topographical map of an area with a series of check points marked on it.
You are given time to plan which check points you want to visit. You will have a fixed number of hours (3 or 6 hours) to visit as many check points as you can, but you must be back to the start/finish at the close-off time.
Rogaines have a strong similarity to orienteering, but are larger in geographical scale and time duration. So grab some friends or family and come along for a fantastic day out!
