A Registered Financial Adviser (RFA), Geoff Seton has been working in the financial services industry for many years, working in accounting, investments, risk, and more.

He also has a huge amount of business experience, having worked in franchise development, management of finance companies, and two of his own successful businesses. The result? A fantastic understanding of how businesses work.

Geoff sees himself as filling a real financial mentoring role, helping companies with succession and risk planning, and making sure that families would be looked after should the worst ever happen.

Says Geoff, "I became a financial adviser partly in response to seeing the impact of not planning for risk has had on people I cared about. The financial impact on a family from losing a loved one is massive and not having insurance only adds to the emotional stress. Every aspect of your life is affected."

It is this negative impact that Geoff tries to help people avoid, by analysing their risk and helping them decide on ways to mitigate it. "My goal is to ensure that none of my clients are left wanting as they grow old or should the worst happen."

Seton Financial Advice are committed to giving back to the community, and support the Auckland Deaf society as well as primary school sport around Auckland.
