Rogers Tatoo Art

Established in 1977 by the late Roger Ingerton after moving from Vivian Street where Roger worked with Kevin Gray ( current owner of Muzzy Shirts ).
When Roger retired he gifted the studio to Tom Downs with whom he had known for many years.

Tom started working at the studio with Roger and his wife Meg in 2002 but has been tattooing over 25 years.
The studio is unlike any other you may see nowadays with the interior and original flash designs drawn by Roger in 1970 adorning the walls.
All of the photos on the wall have been tattooed by Roger.
Tom wishes to keep the studio as it is because it carries the unique history of tattooing not only in Wellington but also New Zealand.
