Hannahs Laneway Banquet

The Hannah’s Laneway Banquet will see a transformation of the car park that links Leeds Street to Eva St into an enchanting banquet area, decorated with lights, trestle tables, funky beats and of course truly delectable local artisan food. This precinct has been noted as a growing and thriving area in Wellington’s hospitality scene

The event will situate small-scale Wellington food producers at the heart of this Visa Wellington on a Plate event (VWOAP). The Wellington Chocolate Factory, Leeds St Bakery (Ti Kouka), All Good Organics, Six Barrel Soda, Pizza Pomodoro, Golding’s Free Dive, Red Rabbit Coffee, and Egmont Street Eatery (The Catering Studio) are working together to bring you a unique taster of Wellington at its finest.

The Banquet will be a sumptuous and intimate evening featuring top-tier and creative canapés, entrees, mains and dessert. The event will take place outside in the Hannahs car park beneath a stretch tent. Outdoor heaters will provide the heating and the atmosphere will be akin to a mid-winter festival.

Courses will be matched with a suggested local wine; Wellington produced craft beer or one of Leeds Street’s own Six Barrel Soda’s. This neighbourhood celebration will feature homegrown entertainment chosen for the way it integrates into the laneway and the banquet. The communication strategy of the event will reflect innovation, neighbourhood, and festive wonder.

Each course of this four-part meal will be produced by the 7 participating Hannahs Laneways businesses. Each course will be unique to its producer while working within a cohesive menu and demonstrating the high calibre of food and beverage being produced in the area.

Handpicked local music, carefully matched local beer and wine, non alcoholic beverages with a superbly produced meal in a highly unique setting will leave guests wanting more from this first of its kind evening.
