Our Philosophy

Our business is first and foremost the provision of quality oral health care at an affordable cost.We provide information and thorough assessments so our patients can make an informed decision about their treatments. By offering multiple solutions our patients can choose the most appropriate treatment in their given financial circumstances.

Our staff

Our dental team consist of highly trained clinicians who bring with them a wide range of skills. Through internal referrals we are able to offer patients a full spectrum of dental procedures and oral rehabilitation.

Training and personal development is something we believe in and invest in. All our dentists are required to study continually by attending lectures and workshops several times a year. All our dentist are registered with the Dental Council of New Zealand, they have annual practising certificates and are required to be members of New Zealand Dental Association to maintain contact with the Dental profession at large.

Cross infection control is of the highest standard and is regularly audited for compliance with our company protocols.

Our Company History since 1945

Harry Geddes established Geddes Dental Renovations, a denture specialist company in 1945.

The company became a household name when Harry recorded the now famous radio jingle to the tune of "Clementine" - "Broke my dentures..."

In 1988 Keith Pine purchased the company, renamed it Geddes Dental Group, and expanded it into New Zealand's first multi branch and multi disciplinary dental group.

In 2002 Geddes Dental Group was sold to Abano Healthcare Group Limited.

In 2005 two southern branches started to operate independently under the name of Guardian Dental, preserving the quality, knowledge and commitment of the past 60 years.

Our Company Today

Guardian Dental provides 6 days a week service to the public allowing our patients to be seen within several hours should this situation arise.
