Blokes Swim to Survive

Did you know that in 2014, 69 out of the 90 drowning deaths were male.

It is time to target this high-risk group:

For our brothers, fathers, husbands and sons
Our fishermen, white-baiters, hunters, boaties and dare-devils
Our "she'll be right" "I know how to swim" "I don't need a lifejacket, nothing will ever happen" "I've been fishing here for years"

This is a four-week course with only one session a week held at the Grey District Aquatic Centre. We will hold multiple courses over the year.

This is a subsidised course thanks to sponsors and there will only be a small registration fee to pay.

Course sessions will be held on a Sunday evening after hours 7pm-8.30pm.

Limited participants per course.

This awareness course will consist of:
- Swimming tips
- Survival swimming techniques
- Ocean safety
- River safety
- Fishing & boating safety
- Rescue tips
and much more


Each session will be different with various guest speakers and facilitators.
