It was in the Late 1970's early 1980's we were here in this very building selling fish and chips back when we also had Windsor fish supply at the same time, we were children of course and our Parents decided it was a great idea to do this to keep us children in check, they had 8 of us to keep in check at that, Jayne ,Anita,Birgitte,Inge,Klaus Jens Jnr,Karlo, and Diana,Now don't laugh they did this because at that time our babysitters were a little unreliable and well lets face it when theres that many kids its easy to distract the babysitter to get up to no good, who would have thought we would be back here as adults 38 years later in this very shop.
The house special burger has been renamed the Aggynator for all those guys and you ladies before,you would have remembered it as, Food bar special at Conon st and Aggerholms fast foods & deliveries, Ranch house ,Ranch house on Yarrow st,Burger with the lot at Rugy Park .We have simplified our menu not to your detriment more your benefit, we have sourced mainly local suppliers and some of them even the same suppliers from 15 years ago so the large burger is definitely still there. The difference with this shop is it is a Brother and Sister team , my Brother was operating in Queenstown as Aggys shack or Aggys Hut for the past 10 Years he was partnered with our father who sadly passed away September 2014, The site for Aggys was required for a new building to be put up so Aggys was no more in Queenstown. We put the word out we were thinking of doing a comeback here in our hometown, and we listened to all our loyal customers and the end result is Aggys Takeaways on 112 St Andrew St.
