More about Acorn Cottage run by Martine Ravays

The Acorn is a lovely, old, wooden, 2 bedroom cottage, fully furnished in a country style, with an enclosed garden, surrounded by gum trees and poplars. Very private. We are pet friendly.
We're just outside the small rural village of Ohaeawai, (with a great butcher and a traditional NZ dairy) 15 minutes from Kerikeri and about 20 minutes from Paihia, the Bay of Islands and Waitangi (by car). A great central base for all that this area is famous for.
We are on the Twin Coast Cycle Trail and are perfectly positioned for the Okaihau/Kaikohe section.
The property was featured in Life and Leisure magazine in 2010.
The Cottage:
The living room is very comfortable with a TV, DVD player and loads of DVD's. There is also a wood burner to make the winter nights warm and cozy. Firewood is provided by us, as much as you need to stay warm during the winter months.
You can park outside The Acorn. Our own house is just a walk away from the cottage, however the cottage is very private, as the fig tree and some conifers screen the houses from each other.
Our property is a very small working farm, so come and have a chat with us about feeding some chickens! All our cows are very friendly they don't mind if you want to have a walk in the paddock. We also have a nice stream running through our picnic. In summer the perfect place to have a picnic.
Price is for up to a maximum of 4 adult people.
We charge $110,- per night.
A 25% deposit is required for all bookings. .
We charge $10,- per pet per night.
